What is CrossFit?

Constantly varied, high intensity, functional movement. That means the workout is always changing and helps you get stronger in everyday things like lifting groceries, standing up from a chair, putting items onto higher shelves, and picking up your children or grandchildren.

Do I have to be in shape to start CrossFit?

Not at all. Crossfit can be scaled to each individual ranging from kids to 100 year olds, and every kind of body shape and ability. All you need to have is the will to workout. 

What is a typical class like?

Each class will start with a warm up. After every athlete is ready, the WOD (workout of the day) will begin. This usually consists of a strength or skill portion and then the workout itself. The workout is constantly varied and is always changing. It is our goal to complete all of it within an hour, however sometimes they can run shorter or longer.

Will I be on my own or will there be an instructor?

Each class will be taught by a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer who will teach each movement of the workout, ensure movement safety and encourage the athletes during the workout.
